"Or we can be lost in awe at all the people around us, their lives full of glory and tragedy, and suddenly we will have the beginnings of a painting, a story, a song." - Madeleine L'engle

Christmas Highlights
Dad speaking Gaelic after a few glasses of wine. Not having to buy wrapping paper this year! Enough cash to buy either a (cheap) Kitchen Island or a new, probably flea market new, dining room set. The director of my department taking me to Chinooks for lunch and talking about a possible promotion by this time next year! Two 4-day weekends in a row.Cats. Cats in a tree. Cats playing with ribbons and wrapping paper. Another set of framed B&W photographs of my Grandmother and other ancestors from my Mom (I hope she carries on this tradition). Cats. Learning that one of my 5 year old twin cousins (same one who thinks I am Rihanna) says he is going to marry me and we are to have a "Rock" wedding with no rings and no kissing. A true honor.First time at the adorable Boat Street Cafe. We had dinner, but I think it would be the perfect place for breakfast or dessert. Sean's 90 year old French Grandma, LaVerne, telling me about how she is going to start dieting for her cruise to Hawaii in April :). Mandarin Tea lotion. Molasses Pecans. Realizing my kitchen has accidentally become red and teal (I was going for moroccan blue and brown, but what the hey). And last but not least, shopping in For Love 21 with a retired Marine (Dad).
