Studying for my marketing mid-term and came across this quote:

"There is only one boss: the customer. And he can fire everybody in the company, from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else."

I know a lot people disagree with Wal-mart's business practices, but he was a brilliant businessman. I wonder how he would be changing Wal-mart today. I have a suspicion he would be responding to the complaints against his company and listening to what people have to say. But who knows?

Lesson learned: spend your money on products and at businesses you want to have around 10 years from now.
