Night number two spent playing philosophical frisbee with Lacey. Am thrilled that she is back from Thailand. Here's the outline from tonight's conversation:
I. Living honestly is difficult.
A. But if we were really living honestly, would it be so difficult?
B. Conclusion: living dishonestly is difficult
II.Getting to know someone is not a task to be completed.
A. There will never come a point in a friendship where we can say "ok, i know everything there is to know about you now..."
B. People are constantly changing, so we must get to know them as they are changing too. We should not only get to know who they have been, but who they are becoming.
C. Is fooling ourselves that there is nothing left to discover about a person what causes our friendships to go stale?
III. What is the purpose behind the ability to flare one's nostrils?
A. To express anger?
B. For better breathing?
C. To show deep thought?
D. (flaring nostrils while closing your eyes feels and looks ridiculously silly...trust us, we spent most of the evening experimenting with this)

We can't flare our nostrils with our eyes closed.
You can't flare them with your eyes open.
Survey saaaaaaaaaays?
You can probably flare them with your eyes closed.
