Scene: Nana's birthday party: poker game in the kitchen, kids thumping around upstairs playing hide and seek, smoke breaks on the deck, and me, nana, aunt donna and cousin denelle in the living room deciding what movie to watch:
Sharon: Nana what movie do you want to watch, there's Christmas Vacation, Secret of Nimh, Pirates of the Caribean, Interview with the Vampire....
Nana: Oh! Interview with the Vampire, can we Critty?
(turn on movie, 5 minutes later)
Aunt Donna: I like your taste in movies Nana
Denelle: Nana, I didn't think you'd like this movie, Tom Cruise in it.
Nana: WHAT? (and then in a mocking tone) Oh I didn't know "old boo-boo face" was in this.
Somehow this woman has the best names for everyone. After 20+ years of her calling me Critty she has begun to call me "Snow White". Which was a result of myself, nana and carolyn sitting around deciding which disney characters remind her of each of her 30-some grandchildren.
Carolyn's names have always been "Little Witch" and "Diablo" and after the Disney Discussion she was promoted to "Dresella" from Cinderella! Ha!
