thank you Grandpa Bill for the following : for Anne of Green Gables and Beauty and the Beast, for Pinnochio and Roald Dahl and all of the stories who have made me who I am. I carry on your love for reading. Thank you for your love for dancing and romance novels. I carry on your helpless romantic spirit. Thank you for your humble attitude, for selling children's shoes and always acknowledging that you had "lived a good life". Thank you for spuds fish and chips and home alone and allowing me to not eat foods I hated when Grandma Marge and Aunt Janet forced me to tears through their table-etiquette speeches. Thank you for calling me sweetheart and your many kind words to me. For coming to the plays and asking what I was reading. Thank you for being the voice of delight and praise in my childhood when it was nowhere else to be found. I hope that I am an echo of your joy and your smile. I imagine tonight you are riding a motorcycle for the first time and that you will be doing the fox trot with Marjorie under the moonlight.
